Job summary

MedVet is a fast-growing Emergency and Specialty veterinary provider seeking a Doctor Coordinator-Internal Medicine to support doctors during Wed-Sat 8a-6p. You will coordinate scheduling, document patient histories, and communicate with clients and referral partners, while mentoring team members as needed.

Qualifications

• Prior veterinary experience required, emergency experience desired.
• Proficient in drug calculations and infusion rates.
• Flexibility with work hours and able to cover additional shifts when necessary.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly supports specific doctor(s) for a given shift; may support different doctors within a department.
• Ensures follow through of departmental workflow and scheduling.
• Collaborates on scheduling of consults, transfers, and diagnostics.
• Drafts medical record documentation for supported doctor(s).
• Monitors emails/voicemails and assists with outpatient procedures as needed.
• Acts as mentor or trainer for team members and coordinates prescription refills.
