Job summary

Ascension is seeking a board-certified or eligible physician to join our North Vernon, IN practice. The role includes taking over a retiring physician’s patient panel and providing comprehensive care at Ascension St. Vincent Jennings, a Critical Access Hospital.

You will work with an established team of four physicians and four APPs, split between outpatient clinic duties and inpatient rounding, with a 1:4 weekend rotation. We encourage new graduates to apply and mentor them as needed.

Qualifications

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Indiana Medical Licensing Board.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE).
• Advanced Life Support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead with continuity of care by assuming the patient panel of a retiring physician.
• Collaborate with a team of 4 physicians and 4 APPs in a supportive environment.
• Mentor APPs to enhance team capabilities.
• Balance outpatient clinic duties with inpatient rounding in a mixed care setting.
• Participate in a 1:4 weekend hospitalist rotation with on-site evaluation before 10 am.
