Job summary

The Community Health Center of Buffalo Inc. is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician to deliver patient-centered primary care in a Federally Qualified Health Center setting.

You will manage acute and chronic diseases, mentor students where applicable, and contribute to a caring team focused on underserved Western New York communities. Applicants must hold NY medical and DEA licenses, complete an internal medicine residency, and be proficient with MS Word and Outlook.

Qualifications

• Active New York medical license required.
• DEA license registration in NY.
• Completion of an accredited internal medicine residency.

Responsibilities

• Assess adult patients' health status through history and exams.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions in internal medicine.
• Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension.
• Interpret tests and recommend appropriate therapies.
• Provide patient education and preventive care.
• Offer clinical guidance to healthcare team members.
• Adhere to policies, infection control, and confidentiality.
• Engage in quality improvement and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise and assess medical students, if applicable.
