Job summary

NP Now, LLC is seeking a physician leader to serve as Chief Medical Officer, balancing 50% clinical care with 50% executive leadership across three NM clinics. This FQHC-rooted role reports to the CEO and supports ongoing expansions and acquisitions as the patient panel grows.

Athena EMR is used across clinics with a call ratio 1:4 and nurse triage handling initial calls. The ideal candidate is Board Certified/Eligible in Internal Medicine, eligible for New Mexico medical license, and

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
• Experience in primary care with leadership experience or interest in serving as a CMO.
• Eligible for a New Mexico medical license.
• Strong leadership, relationship-building, operational, and strategic growth skills.
• Experience collaborating across multidisciplinary clinical teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care; oversee clinical operations across multiple locations and ongoing clinic expansion and acquisitions.
• Drive quality and productivity initiatives; collaborate with executive leadership.
• Supervise clinical teams; support the transition of the current CMO to part-time after six years.

About the Organization

A well‑established Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving Albuquerque and SantaFe since 1996, with 3 clinic locations and an additional acquisition in progress. The center employs 155 staff and 30+ providers, maintaining a supportive, patient‑centered "We Care" culture. Projected 45,236 annual patient visits by FY2027 and a current panel of ~10,000 patients.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $325,000
• Up to 15% annual bonus
• $3,000 quarterly leadership stipend for each Pharmacist and Physician Assistant supervised
• 5 weeks (200 hours) PTO
• $3,000 CME allowance plus 5 CME days
