Job summary

Medrina is expanding its Internal Medicine team in Des Plaines, IL, seeking a Board-certified physician for a part-time, 1099 contractor role in a SNF/post-acute care setting. Active Illinois license and DEA are required, with at least 1 year of internal medicine experience.

We offer tail coverage of malpractice, flexible scheduling (2-3 days/week), and competitive compensation in a physician-owned practice.

Internal Medicine Physician Job In Illinois

Medrina is a large, physician-owned practice that has been a national group for over 15 years. We are currently looking to add physicians to the team in our Des Plaines, IL market!

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Illinois license
• Board certified in Internal Medicine
• Active DEA license
• Minimum 1 year of Internal Medicine experience
• Experience managing adult/geriatric patient populations
• Strong clinical decision-making and time management skills

Preferred Experience

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or post-acute care experience
• Inpatient hospitalist

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting while working with patients as well as working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, physical hazards (e.g., needle pricks, etc.) and chemical hazards.
• Must wear the required PPE per company and/or facility requirement.
• Must comply with facility vaccination requirements.
