Job summary

Medrina is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician in Deerfield, IL. The position is a 1099 independent contractor with Monday–Friday hours, no weekends, and part-time opportunities available.

You will provide comprehensive care for SNF patients, handle primary medical management, and ensure precise EMR documentation. Active Illinois license, board certification in Internal Medicine, and DEA license are required, with at least 1 year of IM experience and geriatric patient management experience.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Illinois medical license.
• Board-certified in Internal Medicine.
• Active DEA license.
• Minimum 1 year of Internal Medicine experience.
• Experience managing adult/geriatric populations.
• Strong clinical decision-making and time management skills.

Medrina is a large, physician-owned practice that has been a national group for over 15 years. We are currently looking to add physicians to the team in our Deerfield, IL market!

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to SNF patients, including assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning
• Responsible for full medical management and primary care
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Illinois license
• Board certified in Internal Medicine
• Active DEA license
• Minimum 1 year of Internal Medicine experience
• Experience managing adult/geriatric patient populations

Preferred Experience

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or post-acute care experience
• Inpatient hospitalist
• Geriatric Medicine

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting while working with patients as well as working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, physical hazards (e.g., needle pricks, etc.) and chemical hazards.
• Must wear the required PPE per company and/or facility requirement.
• Must comply with facility vaccination requirements.
