Job summary

Medrina is seeking an Internal Medicine physician to join as Medical Director in the Moline, IL market. Rehab experience is required to lead IRF patient care and clinical operations.

The role involves 1099 independent contractor arrangements with weekday hours, no weekends, and part-time opportunities. Board-certified IM and active Illinois license are required, along with DEA license and geriatric population experience.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Internal Medicine.
• DEA license valid and current.
• Minimum 1 year rehab experience.
• Experience with adult and geriatric patients.
• Strong clinical decision-making and time management.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to IRF patients, including assessments and treatment planning.
• Manage medical care and primary care responsibilities for the IRF.
• Ensure accurate, timely EMR documentation and reporting.
• Perform administrative duties as needed.

Medrina is a large, physician-owned practice that has been a national group for over 15 years. We are currently looking to add a Medical Director to the team in our Moline, IL market! This role requires rehab experience!

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to IRF patients, including assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning
• Responsible for full medical management and primary care
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in EMR
• Administrative duties
  

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Illinois license
• Board certified in Internal Medicine
• Active DEA license
• Minimum 1 year of rehab experience required
• Experience managing adult/geriatric patient populations
• Strong clinical decision-making and time management skills

Preferred Experience

• Skilled Nursing Facility or post-acute care experience
• Inpatient hospitalist
• Geriatric Medicine

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting while working with patients as well as working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, physical hazards (e.g., needle pricks, etc.) and chemical hazards.
• Must wear the required PPE per company and/or facility requirement.
• Must comply with facility vaccination requirements.
