Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island in East Meadow invites a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Internal Medicine team on 10-hour day shifts. You will apply clinical expertise to plan safe, population-specific patient care with patients and families central to the plan of care.

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will develop and implement therapeutic plans, promote wellness, and coordinate inpatient and discharge care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited NP program.
• Current NYS RN license.
• Current NYS NP license.
• Current NP certification.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Plans and delivers safe patient care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Prescribes medications per NYS law, including controlled substances.
• Coordinates care across inpatient and discharge planning.
• Collaborates with attending physicians to implement therapeutic plans.
• Educates patients and families and participates in quality improvement activities.
