Job summary

NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island in Huntington Station is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider NP for Internal Medicine. You will perform comprehensive assessments, develop plans of care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

The role requires an NP license in NY, strong communication, and the ability to manage a diverse patient panel, order tests, prescribe therapies, and provide patient-centered care in a full-time setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
• Current NYS Nurse Practitioner license.
• Current Nurse Practitioner certification.
• Excellent communication skills (oral & written).
• Basic Life Support certification.

Responsibilities

• Plans and organizes care to meet individual patient needs per protocols.
• Works collaboratively with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement the care plan.
• Prescribes in-patient and discharge medications per NYS law, including controlled substances.
• Orders lab tests and imaging studies and follows results per protocol.
• Maintains timely communication with patients’ families and other care providers.
• Supports professional nursing standards and participates in quality improvement activities.
