Job summary

Medrina in Georgia is seeking an Internal Medicine Director to lead clinical care in post-acute settings across ARF facilities in Augusta. The role blends patient care with executive leadership and oversight of APPs and interdisciplinary teams.

The successful candidate will oversee medical care for adults and geriatrics, drive quality initiatives, and collaborate with facility partners in a physician-owned private practice model that offers leadership stipends and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine.
• Active medical license in Georgia.
• Active DEA license. Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical oversight and leadership for assigned Acute Rehab Facilities ARF.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in adult and geriatric patients.
• Provide comprehensive care for medically complex patients in the post-acute setting.
• Collaborate with nurse practitioners, facility staff, specialists, and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Review and support APP clinical decision-making and patient management.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as needed.
• Promote quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based care practices.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, facility partners, and healthcare teams.
