Job summary

TeamHealth seeks an experienced facility medical director for Doctors Hospital of Augusta to lead a 25+ physician hospital medicine team and coordinate clinical and administrative operations within a high-acuity, tertiary care setting.

With approximately 60 clinical hours per month and substantial leadership responsibilities, you will partner with hospital leadership to drive quality, throughput and clinician engagement while maintaining a clinical presence in the program.

Qualifications

• Board certification in internal medicine or family medicine.
• Leadership experience in hospital medicine.
• Experience with quality metrics and clinician performance.
• Ability to collaborate with hospital leadership and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the clinical and operational performance of the hospital medicine program.
• Oversee clinician scheduling, staffing and physician engagement.
• Partner with hospital administration on quality and throughput initiatives.
• Drive patient safety and operational efficiency.
• Mentor hospitalists and advanced practice clinicians.
• Participate in leadership meetings and committees.
• Maintain a clinical presence within the program.
