Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family, is hiring Medical Assistants at levels I–III across multiple positions. Staff provide patient care under supervision, support clinical tasks, and may perform injectables and advanced procedures as they gain experience and certification.

A strong foundation in medical terminology and computer skills is required. Positions emphasize teamwork, patient safety, and support for licensed clinicians.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED and graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• No experience required with MA certification OR 1+ years of related MA experience without certification.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Basic medical/nursing terminology.
• Computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• MA I: Provide supportive patient care under supervision; ensure patient safety and comfort; perform delegated tasks by a physician or RN.
• MA II: Includes all MA I duties; administer injectables and perform advanced clinical tasks; requires additional experience/certification.
• MA III: Includes MA I and II duties; perform high-level clinical procedures; serve as a resource for less experienced staff.
