Job summary

TTUHSC in the Permian Basin invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor in Internal Medicine to diagnose and treat a broad range of conditions while actively engaging in teaching, patient care and scholarly activity.

The position offers a pathway to tenure-track opportunities, a collaborative clinical and academic environment, and a commitment to developing subspecialty interests in a supportive community.

Qualifications

• Completion of, or in the process of completing an ACGME Internal Medicine Residency Program.
• Must hold or be eligible for ABIM board certification (or in training to become board eligible).
• Completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) Step 3

Responsibilities

• Provides medical care by interviewing, examining, and treating patients.
• Educates patients on wellness, prevention and early detection by providing materials and resources to the patients and families.
• Teaches internal medicine residents, outside rotators, NP's, PA's and medical students through lectures and in clinics/hospitals.
• Giving lectures and teaching sessions to fellows, residents and medical students.
