Job summary

CHUTES International is seeking a hands-on Field Installer to support in-field installation of internal chutes, compactors, loading dock equipment, and postal specialties. The role involves local MD-DC-VA work with some out-of-town travel, punctual arrivals, and teamwork on construction sites.

Responsibilities include assisting with installations, lifting up to 80 lbs., safety-first practices, and adapting to varying site conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience in field installations and construction environments.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and proper use of hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret basic installation instructions and diagrams.
• Willingness to obtain required certifications if not already held.

Job description

In-field installations of internal chutes, compactors, loading dock equipment & postal specialties. Most installations are local (MD-DC-VA) but there is some out-of-town work.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Meeting the install team at the shop on time, as scheduled.
• Assisting with the installation of materials, as directed by supervisor.
• Physical labor – walking/standing, climbing stairs (multiple stories), carrying materials to install (up to 80 lbs.).
• Availability for some travel and overtime work.
• Basic use of hand tools.
• Safely navigating construction job sites.
