Job summary

Martin’s Family is seeking an Intern Controls Intern to support risk assessment, process improvements and compliance with company policy. The role requires independent judgment, accuracy, creativity and initiative.

Responsibilities include creating reports with statistical tools, conducting compliance testing, coordinating remediation with operations and assisting in policy deviation requests. Travel to warehouses may be required; accommodations supported.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related area.
• 1–3 years of industry knowledge and/or business experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of Internal Controls.

Responsibilities

• Work with statistical data analysis tools to create new reports and interpret results.
• Perform compliance testing and analysis and coordinate remediation with business operations.
• Identify business risk, conduct self-assessment and implement action plans.
• Assist in processing policy deviation requests.
• Provide internal and/or external analysis and decision support.
• Analyze and present various financial and non-financial data.
• Coordinate information between departments and cross-functional partners.
• Participate in warehouse audits; some travel.
• Occasionally lead projects.
