Job summary

Protective Life is seeking an Associate I, Corporate Communications based in Birmingham to develop and coordinate employee communications across intranet, newsletters and emails. You will translate complex information into clear, engaging content while supporting plans and channel execution.

The role requires strong writing, organization and collaboration, with 1–3 years in communications and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Hybrid schedule and cross-functional exposure offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or related field required.
• 1-3 years of experience in communications or related fields preferred.
• Strong writing and ability to tailor content for various audiences.

Responsibilities

• Draft, edit and publish content for intranet, enterprise newsletters, digital signage and internal emails.
• Maintain editorial calendar and coordinate inputs, reviews, approvals and publication.
• Support announcements, campaigns, leadership communications and town hall content.
• Collaborate with teams to gather information and develop clear, audience-focused materials.
• Draft messages, FAQs, leader notes and presentations; track content performance.
