Job summary

OCTA in Orange, CA seeks a College Intern in Internal Communications to gain hands-on experience creating communications that inform, engage, and connect employees across the agency. Under supervision, you will support digital and print materials focused on HR, operations, safety, wellness, belonging, and learning and development.

This year-round paid internship offers mentorship, project experience, and opportunities to build a professional portfolio.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time college student with GPA requirement (2.5+).
• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Communications or related field.
• Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
• Creativity and interest in photography, graphic design, or visual storytelling.
• Experience or interest in event planning and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing engaging internal communications for employees across OCTA.
• Create and edit written and visual content for digital and print communications.
• Support communications related to employee engagement, HR, operations, safety and security, wellness, belonging, and learning and development.
• Assist with photography, graphics, presentations, and other creative content.
• Help plan and coordinate employee events and engagement activities.
• Gather information and collaborate with departments to develop timely communications.
• Provide administrative and project support to the Internal Communications team.
