College Intern - Internal Communications
Join OCTA as a College Intern and gain hands-on experience creating communications and experiences that inform, engage, and connect employees across the agency. As part of the Internal Communications team, you'll help bring OCTA's values, priorities, and programs to life through impactful communications, creative content, information sharing, and employee events.
Under direct supervision, you will support the development and delivery of internal communications in both digital and print formats, with a focus on human resources, operations, safety and security, wellness, belonging, and learning and development. You'll have the opportunity to use your writing, photography, graphic design, presentation, and event planning skills while bringing fresh ideas to help enhance the employee experience across OCTA, including employees working at our bus bases.
OCTA's College Intern Program is a year-round paid student/intern program. You will gain real-world experience on meaningful projects under the guidance of experienced professionals while developing your communication, problem-solving, creative, and organizational skills. You will also benefit from mentorship, career development, and opportunities to build your professional network.
The pay range is $20.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on education level. This position is not eligible for employee benefits. The work schedule will consist of approximately 20 hours per week, not to exceed 1,000 hours within a continuous 12-month period.
