OCTA in Orange, CA seeks a College Intern in Internal Communications to gain hands-on experience creating communications that inform, engage, and connect employees across the agency. Under supervision, you will support digital and print materials focused on HR, operations, safety, wellness, belonging, and learning and development.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time college student with GPA requirement (2.5+).
• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Communications or related field.
• Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
• Creativity and interest in photography, graphic design, or visual storytelling.
• Experience or interest in event planning and coordination.

As part of the Internal Communications team, you’ll help bring OCTA’s values, priorities, and programs to life through impactful communications, creative content, information sharing, and employee events.Under direct supervision, you will support the development and delivery of internal communications in both digital and print formats, with a focus on human resources, operations, safety and security, wellness, belonging, and learning and development. You’ll have the opportunity to use your writing, photography, graphic design, presentation, and event planning skills while bringing fresh ideas to help enhance the employee experience across OCTA, including employees working at our bus bases.OCTA's College Intern Program is a year-round paid student/intern program. You will gain real-world experience on meaningful projects under the guidance of experienced professionals while developing your communication, problem-solving, creative, and organizational skills. You will also benefit from mentorship, career development, and opportunities to build your professional network.The pay range is $20.00 – $23.00 per hour, depending on education level. This position is not eligible for employee benefits.
