Seaman Corporation in Wooster, Ohio is seeking a Content Specialist to join our Human Resources team. The role focuses on researching, writing, and editing internal and external communications that inform and engage associates and stakeholders.

You will interview colleagues, translate complex information into clear messages, capture basic photography, and support digital publishing across intranet, website, and social channels. A journalist’s mindset and collaborative approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, English, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in corporate communications, journalism, public relations, or related field.
• Experience researching, writing, and editing content for multiple audiences and channels.
• Strong interviewing and content development skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 apps including Word, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Experience capturing and editing basic photography and visual content.
• Ability to work collaboratively across levels of the organization.
• Creative thinker with strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
• Discretion and confidentiality handling sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Identify content opportunities aligned with business priorities and engagement goals.
• Conduct interviews with associates, leaders, partners, and stakeholders for corporate communications.
• Research, write, and edit articles, announcements, features, and executive communications for various audiences.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex information into clear messages.
• Capture photography and support video planning, production, and editing.
• Maintain editorial standards for accuracy, organization, and visual appeal.
• Support multi-channel campaigns across intranet, website, social media, and print materials.
• Assist with digital publishing and content distribution.
