Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and support a risk-based internal audit plan that evaluates key credit union operations, internal controls, compliance requirements, and risk exposures.
• Perform operational, financial, compliance, lending, information technology, vendor management, and branch audits as assigned.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, policies, procedures, segregation of duties, approvals, system access, reporting, and oversight.
• Conduct fieldwork with interviews, walkthroughs, sampling, testing, documentation review, data analysis, and control validation.
• Prepare audit workpapers documenting procedures, evidence, conclusions, and findings.
• Draft audit reports summarizing scope, objectives, observations, risk impact, and management responses.
