Patelco Credit Union is seeking an Internal Auditor to execute risk-based audits and support engagement planning within a major California financial institution. You will assess controls, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide actionable recommendations to strengthen governance and efficiency.

The role collaborates with cross-functional teams, reports findings to senior management, and stays current on evolving regulations and risks, including cybersecurity and ESG concerns.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Advanced degree or relevant certifications such as CIA, CPA, CAMS, CFE preferred.
• 2+ years of internal audit experience in financial institutions or regulated industry.
• Knowledge of Credit Union regulations and GAAP/IFRS.
• Familiarity with GRC software, data analytics tools, and MS Office.
• Proficient with PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct risk-based audits under guidance; cover financial, operations, and compliance processes.
• Evaluate internal controls and identify risk or non-compliance areas.
• Assist in developing audit programs and testing using approved methodologies.
• Perform data analysis and review financial records for discrepancies or fraud risks.
• Document findings and communicate results to audit lead and management.
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and follow up on actions.
• Stay current on regulatory changes and industry trends to inform audit strategy.
