The Illinois Department of Public Health is seeking an Internal Auditor Trainee to join the Internal Audit Division. The role will start under guidance and progress toward independent audits across financial, compliance, operational and information systems areas.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree with coursework in accounting, auditing, business management, public administration, economics, computer science or other related subjects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting independent internal audits and projects including financial, compliance, operational and information systems audits.
• Complete audits with help and coaching from higher level auditing staff and grow toward independent auditing.
• Learn to develop documentation of audit tests and statistical samples and applying information to audits.
