Job summary

Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation is seeking an Auditor I to assist in on-site or remote audits of programs regulated under the Department. You will review findings, support in entrance conferences, and contribute to detailed exam reports and testimony for hearings.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, agency training, and preferred two years of auditing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration.
• Requires satisfactory completion of agency-sponsored program integrity training.
• Prefers at least two years of auditing experience in the last 48 months.
• CPA rating preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist higher level auditors in on-site or remote fiscal analysis and procedural audits.
• Review findings and contribute to comprehensive reports.
• Assist in preparing entrance conferences and outline audit plans.
• Support in developing testimony for administrative hearings and documenting findings.
