Job summary

Titan Machinery in West Fargo, ND is seeking an Internal Audit Intern to support the auditing team through SOX testing and process review during the summer internship.

You will gain hands-on experience, assist with special projects, and learn the company’s internal controls while collaborating with auditors and interns in a safety-focused environment.

The program runs May 18, 2027 to August 6, 2027 and may lead to future opportunities within Titan Machinery.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year accounting degree with substantial progress.
• Part-time availability 35–40 hours per week during summer.
• Ability to handle interpersonal conflict and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel on a limited basis and learn internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently.
• Learn and support overall internal audit duties.
• Aid outside auditors during the year-end audit.
• Perform SOX testing to ensure compliance.

• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations while performing tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Overview

The Titan Machinery Internal Audit Internship will provide individuals with the opportunity to work alongside our Auditing team. This experience will include assisting and completing SOX testing throughout the Titan Machinery footprint. Individuals will gain experience in internal and external auditing processes and procedures. Responsibilities

• Assist with and/or manage special projects as assigned
• Take ownership of projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently
• Learn and support overall internal audit duties
• Aid outside auditors during the year-end audit
• Perform SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) testing to ensure compliance
• Collaborate with fellow interns to enhance the learning experience
• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations while performing tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

• In process of obtaining 4-year degree in Accounting AND have less than 50% of your academic career remaining by the start of the internship program
• Must be able to regularly and reliably attend work on a part-time schedule for a duration of 8-12 weeks (35-40 hours a week) during the summer months
• Ability to handle and resolve frequent interpersonal conflict
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, stressful work environment
• Ability to respond quickly, accurately, and professionally to demands and requests from customers and employees
• Ability to travel on a limited basis and work flexible hours
