Job summary

Encova Insurance is seeking a Summer Intern in Internal Audit for our Columbus, Ohio corporate office. This is a full-time summer internship for Summer 2027 and requires availability for up to 40 hours per week with a hybrid in-office schedule.

You will be enrolled as a student with at least 60 credit hours completed; accounting is preferred, with flexibility for related fields. The program emphasizes hands-on audit experience, confidentiality, and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must have completed at least 60 credit hours with an accredited college or university.
• Must be actively enrolled and pursuing a degree in accounting (preferred). Will consider business administration, finance, public administration, or a related field with an accounting minor.
• Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Initiative and desire to learn
• Ability to multi-task with good organizational skills.
• Must be detailed oriented.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft applications
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to “think outside the box”.

Responsibilities

• Assist with conducting performance, financial, compliance and integrated audit projects.
• Report to the Assistant Vice President, Internal Audit and take day-to-day direction from an Internal Auditor.
• Work with Encova associates to learn and manage real-world audit scenarios.
