Job summary

Lippert in Indiana seeks an Internal Audit Analytics Analyst to combine traditional audit objectives with data science techniques. You will design continuous auditing, build predictive models, and deploy automated monitoring to identify financial risks and process inefficiencies across the organization.

You will work with Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Procurement, Operations, and IT, producing dashboards in Power BI and Excel, and supporting SOX testing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with data analytics in an audit or finance setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Identify duplicate payments, overpayments, control failures, fraud indicators, and process inefficiencies.

  • Create dashboards and visualization tools for management and Audit Committee reporting.
  • Quantify cost savings and financial recoveries resulting from audit analytics.
  • Assist with operational audits by applying statistical sampling and analytical testing techniques.
  • Partner with business leaders to improve processes and eliminate waste.

Summary/Objective:

The Internal Audit Analytics Analyst is responsible for leveraging advanced analytics, statistical modeling, and continuous monitoring techniques to identify financial risks, process inefficiencies, control gaps, and cost‑saving opportunities across the organization. Working within Internal Audit, this role partners with Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Procurement, Operations, and IT to develop data‑driven audit procedures that improve control effectiveness and generate measurable business value.

This position combines traditional internal audit objectives with data science and actuarial‑style analytical techniques. The analyst develops automated monitoring routines, predictive models, and exception‑based testing that allow Internal Audit to proactively identify anomalies rather than relying solely on periodic audits.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy continuous auditing and monitoring analytics.
  • Perform large‑scale analysis of transactional data using Python, SQL, Power BI, and Excel.
  • Identify duplicate payments, overpayments, control failures, fraud indicators, and process inefficiencies.

Working Conditions:
  • Primarily working indoors, office environment.
  • May sit for several hours at a time.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a part‑time hourly position, and hours/days of work are decided by production schedules and your reporting manager.

Travel:

Travel will be minimal and will be primarily local during the business day.
