Job summary

Lippert, a leading global manufacturer based in Elkhart, IN, invites applications for a seasonal HR Internship. The role provides hands-on experience in recruitment, onboarding, records management, and employee engagement within a supportive team.

You will work with Microsoft Office tools, learn HR operations, and gain exposure to talent management and compliance. Candidates currently enrolled in a related bachelor's program with a minimum GPA are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business, psychology, communications, or related field.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment activities: postings, resumes, interviews.
  • Support onboarding and orientation processes.
  • Maintain team member records and HR data entry.
  • Assist with team engagement initiatives and events.
  • Help prepare training materials and development activities.
  • Support talent management and organizational development projects.
  • Answer routine team member questions and direct to HR.
  • Maintain HR files and compliance with policies.
  • Perform general administrative duties: filing, reporting, data tracking.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.

Summary/Objective

This role is responsible for being a support system to an LCI team.

Essential Functions

  1. Assist with recruitment activities, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  2. Support new hire onboarding and orientation processes.
  3. Maintain team member records and assist with HR data entry while ensuring confidentiality.
  4. Assist with team member engagement initiatives, events, and recognition programs.
  5. Help prepare training materials and coordinate learning and development activities.
  6. Support HR projects related to talent management, retention, and organizational development.
  7. Respond to routine team member questions and direct inquiries to appropriate HR team members.
  8. Assist with maintaining HR files and documentation in compliance with company policies.
  9. Perform general administrative duties, including filing, reporting, and data tracking.
  10. Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a seasonal hourly position, and the expected work hours are decided by the hiring manager.

Travel

Travel would be minimal and primarily local during the business day.

Required Education and Experience
  1. Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
  2. Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
  3. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Previous internship, work, leadership, or campus involvement experience.
  2. Interest in talent acquisition, team member relations, training, or HR operations.
  3. Experience with Microsoft 365 applications.
