Job summary

Itron is seeking an Intern - Treasury at its Liberty Lake, WA location with hybrid work flexibility. The role focuses on hands‑on experience in corporate treasury, cash management, and forecasting while learning from a multinational finance team.

The internship emphasizes Excel proficiency and professional communication, with a May/June start and an August/September end, aligned to the student’s schedule.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited degree program with at least two years of college coursework in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Intermediate Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP and formulas.
• Strong professional workplace communication.
• Knowledge of corporate treasury concepts.

Responsibilities

• Support cash management, cash positioning and cashflow forecasting.
• Assist in monthly and quarterly closing preparations.
• Coordinate treasury procedures to remove redundancies.
• Review bank charges data and suggest improvements.
• Collaborate with Treasury system analysts on data validation.
• Contribute to Treasury team projects.
• Assist front and back office with spot trades and intercompany netting.
• Monitor processes related to Treasury Management System.

This Intern - Treasury position provides finance students with the opportunity to learn, grow their experience, and contribute to the field of corporate treasury in a global multinational enterprise.

The ideal candidate will be preparing for a career in corporate treasury and will have experience using Microsoft Suite software applications.

Duration

40 hours per week during summer 2027. The target start is May/June, and the internship concludes August/September, depending on student’s academic schedule.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Support cash management, cash positioning and cashflow forecasting activities
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly closing requirements
• Coordinate in the review of various Treasury procedures to remove redundancies and increase efficiencies
• Assist in the monitoring and review of bank charges database to identify and recommend improvements
• Collaborate with the Treasury system analysts on data comparison and validation
• Contribute to Treasury team projects
• Assist the front and back office with spot trades, intercompany netting and balance sheet hedging
• Assist in the monitoring of processes related to the Treasury Management System (e.g., bank statement flows, payment file movements)

Required Skills & Experience

• Education: enrolled in an accredited and related degree program with completion of at least two years of college-level coursework (Finance, Accounting or related)
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup, formulas, functions, etc.)
• Professional workplace communication skills
• Knowledge of corporate treasury

Location

This position will be tied to our Liberty Lake, WA location with hybrid work flexibility of 2 days on-site per week.

Salary

Liberty Lake, WA: $15.87 - $44.23 per hour
