Job summary

Itron, Inc. in Liberty Lake, WA invites a Treasury Intern to learn and contribute to corporate treasury in a global multinational enterprise. This internship offers real-world financial exposure and hands-on experience in a large, resourceful company.

The ideal candidate will be pursuing a finance or accounting degree and have strong Excel and communications skills. The role is 40 hours/week during summer 2027 with a hybrid schedule (2 days on-site per week) and a May/June start.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited degree program with completion of at least two years of college-level coursework (Finance, Accounting or related).
• Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, functions, etc.).
• Professional workplace communication skills.
• Knowledge of corporate treasury.

Responsibilities

• Support cash management, cash positioning and cashflow forecasting activities.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly closing requirements.
• Coordinate in the review of various Treasury procedures to remove redundancies and increase efficiencies.
• Assist in the monitoring and review of bank charges database to identify and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with the Treasury system analysts on data comparison and validation.
• Contribute to Treasury team projects.
• Assist the front and back office with spot trades, intercompany netting and balance sheet hedging.
• Assist in the monitoring of processes related to the Treasury Management System (e.g., bank statement flows, payment file movements).

This Intern - Treasury position provides finance students with the opportunity to learn, grow their experience, and contribute to the field of corporate treasury in a global multinational enterprise.

The ideal candidate will be preparing for a career in corporate treasury and will have experience using Microsoft Suite software applications.

Duration: 40 hours per week during summer 2027. The target start is May/June, and the internship concludes August/September, depending on student’s academic schedule.

This position will be tied to our Liberty Lake, WA location with hybrid work flexibility of 2 days on-site per week.
