Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Company (BHSI) invites motivated students to join our Technology team in Boston for a 12-week paid Summer Intern program. You'll work on building our next-generation small commercial insurance platform using a modern cloud-based stack, within an agile scrum team.

You will design, implement, test, and document software components, gain exposure to APIs, automation, AI-assisted development, and help improve quality and delivery across the insurance lifecycle.

Qualificações

• Hands-on coding experience through coursework, personal projects, hackathons, or internships.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle from design to delivery.

Responsabilidades

As a Technology Intern, you will join the technology team building BHSI’s next-generation small commercial insurance platform, a modern, cloud-based technology stack that will shape how we serve brokers and customers for years to come. Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Hands-on coding experience through coursework, personal projects, hackathons, or prior internships
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle, including how software is designed, built, tested, and delivered
• Experience with, or strong interest in, using AI tools to accelerate software development and testing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
• Curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies and the insurance business
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Pay Transparency:

The base salary range for this position in Boston is from $25/hour - $28/hour; a candidate’s salary is determined by their relevant skills and experience. We value our teammates – both their capabilities and character – as demonstrated by our amazing culture.
