Job summary

McCormick Taylor, Inc. invites bright and motivated students to join our internship program in structures. This internship offers hands-on experience across highway/transportation projects and exposure to structural elements such as bridges and culverts.

Part- or full-time schedules are considered based on your course load across multiple office locations. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering with strong analytical and teamwork skills, and working knowledge

Qualifications

• You must be enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering.
• Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to interface with all levels of personnel and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist experienced engineers and project managers.
• Gain exposure to various highway engineering challenges.
• Work with CAD software (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD).
• Support staff on transportation projects with structural elements such as bridges and retaining walls.
• Perform structural engineering calculations.

Position Summary

McCormick Taylor is looking for bright and motivated Interns! We are looking for students ready to dive right in and get their hands dirty - no task is too large or too small.

We are open to full time or part time schedules based on candidate's current course load in several of our different office locations. Please check out our career page for our office locations!

Responsibilities

• Work with experienced Engineersand Projects Managers
• Will be exposed to variety of engineeringchallenges in your specific discipline
• Will also be exposed to various highwayengineering software including CAD (Microstation and/or AutoCAD)
• Assist the staff in a variety ofurban and rural highway/transportation projects with structural elements such as bridges, box culverts, retaining walls, and moment slabs
• Perform structural engineering calculations

• Candidates must be currently enrolled and working towards a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering
• Strong analytical, conceptual, communication and organizational skills
• Ability to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and management

• Working knowledge of CAD, Microsoft Office 365 Suite
