Missouri Farm Bureau in Jefferson City is seeking an Intern - State Legislative Affairs for Spring 2027. The role supports the Capitol Connection program and helps facilitate MOFB member visits to the state capitol.
This is an excellent hands-on opportunity for students to learn MOFB’s policy and advocacy work. The internship offers exposure to meetings with legislative staff, interactions with MOFB leaders, and a chance to understand Missouri’s legislature from a practical perspective.

Assists State Legislative Affairs department with the Capitol Connection program. Missouri Farm Bureau’s Capitol Connection program brings MOFB members, from around the state, into the state capitol on a weekly basis throughout the Missouri legislative session. This position will help facilitate the program. This will be a great opportunity for students to learn about MOFB’s policy and advocacy work in Jefferson City, get to know MOFB leaders, and learn more about the Missouri legislature from a hands-on perspective.
The following duties are representative of those required for this position. All of the duties may not be required, and additional duties may be assigned.
Student pursuing a degree in an Agricultural or Political Science, or related field. Minimum of one year of college courses completed.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Can be noisier due to conversations, phone calls, office and environmental equipment.
