Job summary

Spire Inc. seeks a motivated student or recent graduate to join our operations across regions for a paid summer internship. You will contribute to materials catalog updates and assist the Standards Team while gaining exposure to the natural gas industry.

This internship requires 35–40 hours per week, in a hybrid environment with three days in the office and two from home. Strong ethics, teamwork and a 3.0 GPA are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled as an undergraduate rising junior, senior or graduate level student in fall 2027.
• Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA.
• Microsoft Office proficiency required with most positions.
• Must participate in All Inclusive Onboarding and Project Poster Symposium.

Responsibilities

• Take photos and/or update materials pictures and descriptions in the Material Catalog.
• Work with the Standards Team to finalize company-wide Standards and Procedures in Word.
• Research innovative natural gas distribution equipment with MTTE team.
• Demonstrate strong ethics, integrity, safety, and teamwork.

Summary

Spire is seeking an enthusiastic, career minded student or recent graduate to join our operations across our regions. Our paid internship position affords students the opportunity to gain real-world experience to help put what they have learned in class into action. As an Intern, you may complete various projects and perform administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned department and natural gas industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Take photos and/or use of intranet to update materials pictures and descriptions in the current Material Catalog.
• Work with the Standards Team to finalize company-wide Standards and Procedures in Word.
• Work with the Standards/MTTE (materials, tools, technology, equipment) Team to research innovative natural gas distribution equipment that will have the latest technology making it more efficient.
• Strong Ethics and Integrity, Dedication to a Safe Work Environment, Commitment to a Diverse Workforce that recognizes and respects all individual’s unique skills and perspectives.

Required Education (certifications, licenses)

• Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate rising junior, senior or graduate level student in the fall of 2027 pursuing an engineering, business adminstration, or another degree in a related field.

Required knowledge, skill and abilities

• Must be able to work 35 - 40 hours per week throughout the summer internship.
• Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA.
• Microsoft Office proficiency required with most positions.
