Job summary

Spire is seeking an enthusiastic student or recent graduate to join our Standards & Procedures team as an Intern. This paid internship offers real-world experience across regions, with opportunities to contribute to the material catalog and company standards.

You will work in a hybrid setup (office 3 days, home 2 days) in Saint Louis and surrounding areas, gaining exposure to natural gas equipment and procedures while developing critical professional skills for a career in engineering, business,

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled undergraduate rising junior, senior or graduate student for fall 2027.
• 35–40 hours per week during the summer internship.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Must participate in All Inclusive Onboarding and Project Poster Symposium.

Responsibilities

• Update materials catalog photos and descriptions in the current Material Catalog.
• Assist Standards Team to finalize company-wide Standards and Procedures in Word.
• Research innovative natural gas distribution equipment with the MTTE team.

Summary

Spire is seeking an enthusiastic, career minded student or recent graduate to join our operations across our regions. Our paid internship position affords students the opportunity to gain real-world experience to help put what they have learned in class into action. As an Intern, you may complete various projects and perform administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned department and natural gas industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Take photos and/or use of intranet to update materials pictures and descriptions in the current Material Catalog.
• Work with the Standards Team to finalize company-wide Standards and Procedures in Word.
• Work with the Standards/MTTE (materials, tools, technology, equipment) Team to research innovative natural gas distribution equipment that will have the latest technology making it more efficient.

Required Education (certifications, licenses)

• * Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate rising junior, senior or graduate level student in the fall of 2027 pursuing an engineering, business adminstration, or another degree in a related field.

Required knowledge, skill and abilities

• * Must be able to work 35 - 40 hours per week throughout the summer internship.
• * Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA.
• * Microsoft Office proficiency required with most positions.
• * Must participate in All Inclusive Onboarding and Project Poster Symposium
