Job summary

Sunoco LP offers a twelve-week paid internship program designed for students currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs. You will gain exposure to senior leadership and work on high-impact supply chain projects while supporting departmental responsibilities.

Interns will contribute to cost savings initiatives, supplier negotiations, and procurement processes, with opportunities to express location preferences during interviews.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in college; open to all majors.
• Preferably junior status.
• Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with SQL a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the analysis, development and implementation of cost savings initiatives.
• Assist in coordination of negotiations, contract development, contract implementation, and supplier contract compliance.
• Conduct ongoing business reviews to ensure suppliers are performing to contracted obligations and service levels.
• Lead the suppliers and stakeholders of the supply chain through effective engagement and communication by delivering supplier awareness programs.
• Solicit advice from manager/sourcing team members regarding sourcing and procurement processes and apply appropriate solutions to issues for stakeholders.

Sunoco LP is a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 47 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, Europe, and Mexico. The Partnership’s midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 9,500 miles of pipeline and over 100 terminals. This critical infrastructure complements the Partnership’s fuel distribution operations, which serve approximately 10,000 convenience stores, independent dealers, commercial customers, and distributors.

This is a twelve (12) week paid internship program beginning May 2027. You must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with an expected graduation date in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.

Summary:

During your internship you will have direct access to senior leadership within the organization as well as the opportunity to work on high-impact strategic projects in addition to your core departmental responsibilities. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone interested in learning about the oil & gas industry in a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment.
