Job summary

EMC Insurance is seeking a motivated junior software development intern to grow with our Midwest-based team. The role offers exposure to real applications, learning our development practices, and contributing to ongoing projects.

You will assist with development and maintenance of assigned applications, participate in testing and defect resolution, and help review technical documentation while collaborating in team meetings and code reviews.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or a related field.
• Junior standing preferred.
• GPA 3.00 or higher preferred.
• Demonstrated interest in software development through coursework, projects, or extracurricular activities.

Essential Functions

• Learn EMC software development practices, tools, and standards
• Assist with development and maintenance of assigned applications

Education & Experience

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or a related field
• Junior standing preferred
• Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher preferred
• Demonstrated interest in software development through coursework, projects, or extracurricular activities

The hiring salary range for this position will vary based on geographic location, falling within either the $19.50-$23.00 range. A hiring range represents a subset of the full salary range. The actual salary will depend on several factors, including relevant education, skills, and experience of an applicant, geographic location, and business needs.
