Job summary

RTX offers an internship opportunity in East Hartford, CT, focused on metallurgy and materials science. You will participate in testing, interpretation of procedures, metallographic work and mechanical testing while developing hands-on experience with design specifications and equipment selection.

The program seeks students in metallurgy, materials science, mechanical engineering, chemistry, or chemical engineering with a minimum GPA and prior RX internship exposure.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering and actively enrolled through completion of the internship.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Major or minor in Metallurgy or Materials Science
• Previous RX internship, co-op, or work experience

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
