Job summary

Essentia Health is seeking an intern for a 0.1 FTE weekend-rotation position in the Retail Pharmacy department. The role involves fulfilling prescriptions, preparing unit-dose medications, and assisting with non-sterile compounding to 795 standards under pharmacist supervision.

Education requirements include enrollment in an ACPE-accredited pharmacy program and intern licensure for respective states (ND/MN/WI). BCLS certification encouraged.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in ACPE accredited Pharmacy program.
• BCLS certification, or able to obtain within 3 months (BCLS not required for interns in certain departments).
• ND: must be licensed as a Pharmacy Intern through the ND Board of Pharmacy; MN: must be licensed as a Pharmacy Intern through the MN Board of Pharmacy; WI: completion of 2nd year of a Pharmacy program. No registration required in WI.

Education Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in an ACPE accredited Pharmacy program

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certified, or able to obtain within 3 months (BCLS not required for Interns hired into the following departments: 3012410, 4002410, 2002410, 2042410)
• ND: Must be licensed as a Pharmacy Intern through the ND Board of Pharmacy
• MN: Must be licensed as a Pharmacy Intern through the MN Board of Pharmacy
• WI: Completion of 2nd year of a Pharmacy program. No registration required
