Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking motivated Engineering Interns for our summer program to join the team in Oklahoma City. You will gain hands-on experience with our energy portfolio, including gathering, processing, and transmission of natural gas and liquids.

As a student in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical engineering, you will work alongside professionals on process simulations, system modeling, and field operations of pipelines, storage, and terminals. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical engineering.
• Sophomore year or higher required.
• Strong self-motivation and active involvement outside coursework.
• Above-average GPA and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Familiarize with assets in energy portfolio and gain experience in gathering, processing, treating, transmission storing, and export of natural gas and/or liquids.
• Assist with process simulation, system modeling, gas and fluid flow measurements, pipe sizing, equipment functions, and maintenance planning.
• Support day-to-day field operations of pipeline, storage, and terminal systems.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• The main objective for the intern is to become familiar with the assets in our energy portfolio, gaining experience in gathering, processing, treating, transmission storing, and export of natural gas and/or liquids.
• Responsibilities will vary with location but may include process simulation and system modeling, gas and fluid flow measurements, pipe and vessel sizing calculations, equipment functions, and maintenance requirements, and the day to day field operations of pipeline, storage, and terminal systems.

Required Skills

• Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program majoring engineering disciplines include Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical at a minimum completion of Sophomore level engineering courses.
• General requirements include self-motivated individuals.
• Involvement in activities outside college studies
• Above average GPA
• Willingness to travel.
