Job summary

Energy Transfer Partners, L.P. is seeking motivated Engineering Interns for our summer program to gain hands-on experience in our energy portfolio.

Interns will become familiar with assets involved in gathering, processing, treating, transmission storing, and exporting natural gas and/or liquids. Responsibilities include process simulation, system modeling, gas/fluids measurements, pipe sizing calculations, equipment functions, and day-to-day field operations of pipeline, storage, and terminal

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate engineering program majoring Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical.
  • Sophomore level engineering courses completed or in progress.
  • Involvement in activities outside college studies.
  • Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

  • Familiarize with assets in the energy portfolio, gaining experience in gathering, processing, treating, transmission storing and export of natural gas and/or liquids.
  • Assist with process simulation and system modeling, gas and fluid flow measurements, pipe and vessel sizing calculations, and equipment functions.

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic, personable, and professional Engineering Interns for our summer programto join our team!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • The mainobjective for the intern is to become familiar with the assets in our energy portfolio,gaining experience in gathering, processing, treating, transmission storing, and export of natural gas and/or liquids.
  • Responsibilities will vary with location but may include process simulation and system modeling, gas and fluid flowmeasurements, pipe and vessel sizing calculations, equipment functions, andmaintenance requirements, and the day to day field operations of pipeline, storage, and terminalsystems.
Required Skills:
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program majoring engineering disciplines include Chemical,Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical at a minimum completion of Sophomore level engineering courses.
  • General requirements include self-motivated individuals.
  • Involvement inactivities outside college studies
  • Willingness totravel.

Preferred classification: Junior or Senior

Additional Skills:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, good time management and organization skills
  • Demonstrated professionalism and initiative
  • Proficiency with MS office
