Job summary

UAB Medicine's Radiology team seeks a PRN Imaging/CT technologist to provide services under direct supervision at UAB St Vincent's East. Responsibilities include patient positioning, exposure factor selection, and adherence to radiation safety standards.

You will support supervising technologists and physicians across various imaging procedures, including contrast administration, while maintaining a clean and safe department environment. Eligible benefits apply.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 30 days of hire date.
• High school diploma equivalency AND enrolled in an accredited program specific to discipline.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients and select exposure factors accurately.
• Implement radiation protection and safety standards.
• Prepare for and assist the supervising technologists and physicians in a variety of imaging procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.

Job Description

Qualifications

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.

• High school diploma equivalency AND enrolled in an accredited program specific to discipline.
