Hoyle Tanner and Associates, Inc. is seeking motivated interns for the Highway Group within the Ground Transportation Division. The internship can be based in Burlington, VT, or other listed offices, with a May 2027 start. This paid opportunity offers hands-on planning, design, and site-visit experience under engineers.

You will assist with drawings, calculations, reports, and coordination, while gaining exposure to multiple highway projects in a collaborative team environment.

Competenze

• Currently enrolled in a BSCE program.
• EIT certification preferred.
• Experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Mansioni

• Assist engineers with planning, design, inspection, and construction support of highway projects.
• Prepare CADD drawings and contract plans, perform engineering calculations, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
• Attend site visits for projects under construction.
• Compile technical reports and project documentation.

We are seeking motivated interns to join The Hoyle Tanner Internship Program in our Highway Group within our Ground Transportation Division. This position can be based out of our Chelmsford, MA, Portsmouth, NH, Manchester, NH or Burlington VT office. This is a paid internship opportunity. Start date is anticipated to be May of 2027. Earlier start dates are available on a limited basis.

Responsibilities:

• Assist engineers with the planning, design, inspection, and construction support of highway projects
• Preparing CADD drawings and contract plans, performing engineering calculations, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates
• Attend site visits for projects under construction
• Compiling technical reports and project documentation
• Supporting project meetings and coordination efforts

Requirements:

• The preferred candidate will be currently enrolled in a BSCE program
• EIT is preferred, or ability to obtain
• Experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D is a plus
