Job summary

Hoyle Tanner invites motivated students to join its Internship Program in the Highway Group of the Ground Transportation Division. The internship can be based in Manchester, NH, Portsmouth, NH, Yarmouth, ME or Burlington, VT, with a May 2027 start date.

You will assist engineers with planning, design, inspection and construction support for highway projects, prepare CADD drawings, perform calculations, attend site visits, and compile reports.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a BSCE program (or relevant degree path).
• EIT certification is preferred, or ability to obtain.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with planning, design, inspection, and construction support of highway projects.
• Prepare CADD drawings and contract plans, perform engineering calculations, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
• Attend site visits for projects under construction.
• Compile technical reports and project documentation.
• Support project meetings and coordination efforts.

We are seeking motivated interns to join The Hoyle Tanner Internship Program in our Highway Group within our Ground Transportation Division. This position can be based out of our Manchester, NH, Portsmouth, NH, Yarmouth, ME or Burlington, VT office. This is a paid internship opportunity. Start date is anticipated to be May of 2027. Earlier start dates are available on a limited basis.
