Job summary

The Hoyle Tanner Internship Program in our Bridge Group within the Ground Transportation Division is seeking a motivated intern. This paid internship offers hands-on experience under senior engineers with exposure to bridge design standards and engineering software.

Start date is anticipated to be May 2027, with earlier starts available on a limited basis; positions can be based in Chelmsford, MA, Burlington, VT, or Portsmouth, NH.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a BSCE program.
• EIT is preferred or ability to obtain.
• Experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with bridge projects planning, design, inspection, and construction support.
• Prepare CADD drawings and contract plans, perform calculations, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
• Assist with bridge inspections and site visits.
• Compile technical reports and project documentation.
• Support project meetings and coordination efforts.

Primary Responsibilities Include

• Assisting engineers with the planning, design, inspection, and construction support of bridge projects

Requirements
