Job summary

Hoyle Tanner and Associates, Inc. invites motivated students to join the Internship Program in the Highway Group within the Ground Transportation Division. The internship can be based in Manchester, NH; Portsmouth, NH; Yarmouth, ME; or Burlington, VT.

Start date is anticipated for May 2026, with earlier starts possible for select candidates. The internship offers hands-on design, site visits, and documentation experience, with opportunities to assist engineers and prepare CADD drawings using

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a BSCE program.
• EIT is preferred, or ability to obtain.
• Experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with the planning, design, inspection, and construction support of highway projects.
• Preparing CADD drawings and contract plans, performing engineering calculations, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
• Attend site visits for projects under construction.
• Compiling technical reports and project documentation.
• Supporting project meetings and coordination efforts.

Job description

We are seeking motivated interns to join The Hoyle Tanner Internship Program in our Highway Group within our Ground Transportation Division. This position can be based out of our Manchester, NH, Portsmouth, NH, Yarmouth, ME or Burlington, VT office. This is a paid internship opportunity. Start date is anticipated to be May of 2026.
