Job description

Intern – Flight Standards Quality Control (Denver, CO – Summer 2026)

Our Flight Standards Quality Control (QC) team oversees United’s pilot QC program and supports key operational initiatives across Flight Operations. Our work includes managing QC governance and compliance, organizing large-scale training events such as the Annual Training & Standards Meeting (ATSM), and leading major projects like dashboard consolidation, training scheduling, and logistics for QCL/QCO programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with scheduling, logistics, and rosters for training sessions and meetings.
• Help maintain and consolidate project dashboards and performance data.
• Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations for leadership and governance meetings.
• Coordinate communications and materials with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide administrative and research support for ongoing projects and process enhancements.
• Support major Flight Standards initiatives, including the QC Program, ATSM, and QCL/QCO training events.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Aviation Management, Business, Quality Control/Risk, Data Analytics, or a related field
• Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (Power BI or PowerApps a plus)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated interest in aviation operations, project management, or data analytics

Compensation and Benefits

The starting rate for this role is $20.00 per hour. The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education and skills. This position may also be eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
