  • Currently enrolled in college majoring in Finance/Accounting.
  • Preferably junior status as of Fall 2027.
  • Self-motivated with involvement in activities outside college studies.
  • Strong computer and advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player able to collaborate with a diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements.
  • Assist in preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings.
  • Assist with annual audit and quarterly reviews.
  • Assist in researching accounting, consolidation, and reporting issues.
  • Maintain supporting documentation for financial reporting.
  • Take on special projects as assigned.

Energy Transfer is a master limited partnership that owns and operates one of the largest and most diversified portfolios of energy assets in the United States. In total, the Company owns and operates approximately 120,000 miles of natural gas, crude oil, refined products, and natural gas liquids pipelines, terminals, and acquisition and marketing assets which are used to facilitate the purchase and sale of crude oil, natural gas, natural gas liquids, and refined products.

Summary

Our Finance Department is seeking dynamic, personable, and professional Finance Interns who will work with the various functional finance departments within Energy Transfer at our Dallas office.

This is a twelve (12) week paid internship program beginning May 2027. You must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with an expected graduation date in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.

(This opportunity doesn’t include relocation or living stipend)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Financial Reporting Department is seeking dynamic, personable, and professional accountant to help manage monthly close processes in a fast-paced environment.

  • Preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annually SEC filings.
  • Assist with annual audit and quarterly reviews.
  • Assist in researching accounting, consolidation, and reporting issues.
  • Maintain supporting documentation for financial reporting.
  • Special projects as assigned.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

  • Currently enrolled in college majoring in Finance/Accounting
