Description

CESA 6 is looking for a Finance Intern to join our team. This limited-term employment (LTE) hourly, non-benefited position requires approximately 20 hours per week and is located in Oshkosh, WI.

Summary

The Finance/Accounting Intern reports directly to the Executive Director of Finance and primarily supports the Agency through completion of various reports and analytical projects. In this role you will gain hands‑on experience and contribute to key financial processes, including analyzing functional actuals, developing forecasts and budgets, supporting the monthly close process, and assisting with ad‑hoc analysis.

Functions
Essential Functions
  • Assist in the monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries.
  • Perform bank reconciliations.
  • Create audit schedules.
  • Conduct class center reviews.
  • Assist with fixed assets.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts.
Other Functions
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Position Qualifications
Experience, Education, And/or Licensure
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be enrolled in an Accounting or Finance program. A sophomore‑level standing or greater, working toward a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Basic Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word knowledge.
