Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Internship Program within Howmet Wheel Systems offers engaging projects and leadership talks, with tours of manufacturing plants and networking. Interns will work full-time equivalently 40 hours per week for about 12 weeks and will be paid for their contributions.

Eligible students pursue Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degrees, with a GPA of 3.0+, and must be authorized to work in the U.S. Visa sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2028.

Responsibilities

• Engage in engineering-focused internship projects within a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Projects will provide a realistic view into the requirements of an operations professional in manufacturing.
• Interns will participate in program activities such as lunches, plant tours, networking, and community volunteering.

Responsibilities

The Howmet Aerospace Internship Program, in our Howmet Wheel Systems (HWS) business unit, will include engaging and impactful project or projects, lunch & learns presented by organizational leaders, tours of our manufacturing plants & processes, networking opportunities, volunteering in the local community, and fun social activities to connect with fellow interns.Interns willwork 40 hours a week andarepaid. The internship is approximately12 weeks.

Responsibilities include:

Assigned projects will focus onengineering, as well as other areas within a heavy manufacturingenvironment. Projects will give a realistic view into the requirements of an operations professional in the manufacturing industry.

Qualifications

Qualitifications for Candidates:

• 3.0 GPA and above.
• Must be involved in at least 1 extracurricular activity or prior work experience.
• Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar,with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and May 2028.
• Interns must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
